In Bloom Beppu’s building is an old private house of the Hirose family.
Since the Hirose family’s house was a modern Japanese-style building made by the top level rulers, it came to the eyes of the US military and was used as a lodging house for executive officers of the US military after the war. After the cancellation by the US military, it was owned by the personal one and is currently reused as In Bloom Beppu

The entrance of the Hirose’s house is decorated with coffered ceiling and a ridge-end tile of the family crest containing.
A relief of a dragon against fire by the plasterer master carpenter of Hinode, Choichi Aoyagi, is fully on the gable wall. Handrail of Giboshi railing, molded corbels, bay windows and Katomados are outside. The building is made as Sukiya-style.
